trazodone vs seroquel for sleep reddit

Long term side effects began with bloods changed, elevated blood sugar and triglycerides. Feb 28, 2018 #1. It is scary as hell. It's almost like sleeping pills shouldn't be used in the long term, and almost every sleep specialist recommends CBT-I or another type of sleep therapy to get over insomnia?! Never again!I'm laying in the ER because of that shitty drug (for me). It does give me "pot" munchies after taking it but you have to learn to ignore them. I absolutely hated it and would definitely recommend trazadone.Yeah I’ve definitely noticed some increased irritability and hunger.

Feeling better with more clarity and regular movements now. It also relieved anxiety, and generally made me feel pretty ok without being high.

Maybe they're on to something! Are there any sleep specialists in your area? I did do a sleep study and am getting a c-pap machine like everyone and their dog. Anyone else get a trazo-boner?I have taken trazodone for years and just recently had to quit. Overall, I would say this drug is effective, but I would advise that you be careful while taking it and try to start off on a low dose if possible.I took 100 milligram trazodone for the first time last night. It is often given because it is quite sedating; however, care is needed because it also lowers blood pressure.... Another shitty (haha) drug they give alcoholics is Remeron. The sleep solution are some books I found helpful.Insomnia will not kill you. Re: Trazadone vs seroquel (for sleep), which causes less weight gain?
Hard time sleeping. blurred vision, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, nausea, vomiting, and xerostomia. First time trying it and it seems like it's a really valuable tool for detoxing. I'm dangerously wired and I'm still struggling with the laryngitis.

My short term memory just broke. However, it left me feeling groggy in the morning, and if I didn't get into bed fast enough after taking it I would collapse and have trouble getting back to my room - one night, I seemingly blacked out for a few seconds while going up the stairs and fell. Seroquel is significantly anticholinergic at low doses which has been linked in some research to the development of cognitive impairment. I've seen an ENT 3 times and he was so agitated by my sinuses the second appointment I ceased the trazodone on my own. I've used Seroquel on and off for the past 10 yrs and it's been reliable. I found that I was way too sleepy during the day time so I decided to cut back my Trazodone to 100MG and leave the Seroquel 150. It is also linked to development of diabetes at low doses. Weaned and got off it, took several weeks. But it affects each user differently. I spent almost a year taking it and it made me fall asleep fast. The problem with Seroquel (for me) is that it caused me to gain weight. Before I did that, I simply went off the Seroquel..I had 13 days of feeling sick and could not function at all. Don't figure out your medications by yourself. I have tried both but seroquel made me gain 30+ pounds despite diet and exercise as well as made me really irritable and detached to the point where people in my life were getting concerned. While initially it worked great I find now that I wake up after a few short hours and can't get back to sleep. Seroquel wasn't keeping me asleep either, but I felt stoned all the time so I went back to a combo of Ambien and Elavil. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist. I think we all understand going to bed and not sleeping. And I swear, it was the trazodone. Hydroxyzine is way more selective, and mirtazapine is a bit more selective and a great deal more potent (it's actually the strongest anti-histamine on the US market). I've seen an ENT 3 times and he was so agitated by my sinuses the second appointment I ceased the trazodone on my own. I found a doctor who SPECIALISES in this disorder and is up to date with the latest research findings in this specific condition. It sucks, and you'll feel shitty, but the more you're afraid of it the worse it gets.I've suffered from insomnia for over half of my life, and have night terrors when I do sleep. Went back on only 100 mg. Helped with the CNS issues that WDs cause but goddamn it didn't stop the hallucinations.I had a good experience with it, as well. So far it is working, yet I have to stay up until 12:30 am so I can reach a normal hour of waking up. The two medications share multiple targets and interact heavily in terms of downstream interactions, so I wouldn't expect any physician to be able to reliably predict the results for any given patient.Do you also think that getting cracked in the head with a big rock has the potential to cause pain?I tried it for insomnia and had the craziest scare-the-hell out of me nightmares ever. Try 25. Trazodone didn't do anything for my sleep. (doesn’t happen to everyone tho, but it happened to me). It was worst thing on earth. Alcohol can increase the nervous system side effects of traZODone such as dizziness, drowsiness,... It was his glowing praise that made me decide to try it again.New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be castCrippling Alcoholism is a group for people who accept their lifestyle choice and don't want to be interrupted by underage, weekend-warriors posting about puking at the beer pong tournament they had when Ricky C's parents went to Aruba last summer.Press J to jump to the feed.
