I hope you’re feeling better.I am in shock. Right? I also didn’t know I took it for maybe 2 weeks & started having the most intense anxiety I’ve ever had. Got off and about a week later...all back to normal.
Otherwise, I'm okay if I don't use caffine or flonase.
My 7yr old has been on Flonase for like 6 months and had developed horrible anxiety. It's pretty unpleasant.That's weird because I thought that the whole point of flonase was that it wouldn't cause mental side effects. I haven’t spoken to a doctor about it yetYes, I'm feeling exceptionally better, I'd say I'm about 80% back to normal at this point. 2 is the maintenance. At some point I stopped eating sleeping but not knowing what’s going on and no known triggers. As with all steroid nasal sprays, make sure you spray away from the nasal septum to avoid nosebleeds and septal perforation!

Loading... Lily over a year ago. Currently am experienced the highest level of anxiety in my life and some chest tightness and sweating from the anxiety of my chest tightness. My poor kid!! I usually get my prescription around allergy season and I'd take it mayyybe once a week if that, just when symptoms were bad enough to warrant something besides my Allegra and because it did cause me to feel a little off and give me headaches, 2 sprays in each nostril per my ENT's orders. This year my allergies have been especially bad so for the past 3 weeks I've been taking it like clockwork every morning. Then restarted in desperation (allergies) same thing. Once was prednisone, the other was a steroid eye drop for an eye infection. I know now it was probably the Flonase causing it. I was getting weird sensations in my head too when I was on it. Because anxiety is a possible side effect of fluticasone, people who suffer from anxiety may want to rethink taking it as medication- particularly if it is being taken to treat breathing problems. One day recently I stopped using Flonase and my anxiety significantly subsided. It’s been like 16 days now since I haven’t taken it.

I panicked and then I completely stopped flonase because my head and nasal passages felt weird. May be too soon to tell.Allegra...I post this everyday on this site...because it messed me up so bad. Thanks for the input!I have had anxiety as a side affect from several antihistamines so I think its probably common. I took a lot of extra zinc and I think that helped. Corticosteroids are known to cause these types of episodes in people apparently.
Zinc is good for helping anxiety. I used asmanex, which is a steroid, for 3 years maybe and had to stop taking it. I was taking Flonase at the time but I attributed that attack to being hungover (another possible culprit).I quit taking Flonase because I didn’t think it was opening my nasal passages really. Took it for 3 days, 4 puffs every day. For some logical reason, flonase and caffine triggers my anxiety and causes me to have panic attacks.
