This is the worstI used flonase for about 9 months, every night, (2pumps each nostril) before bed and in morning. I decided to stop taking the drug and after 1 month regained my sense of smell. Did you try it? Some taste sensation like really salty stuff but it's faint. Living this way is horrible!! I used Saline Rinse twice a day and smell training.

Very few people seem to fully recover their sense of smell. I just attributed this to an ongoing sinus infection. My wife used flonase for a few days but then realized her sense of taste/smell totally went away after the first usage of it. I can't even smell the sulfur from a burning match.Update. I can taste sweet, spicey and salty but not very well.

I am hoping both my senses return in a month (or less) and that my olfactory cleft or nerve is not permanently damaged.
