In fact I think it worsened anxiety for me but I’m not positive. It almost made me high and gave me this sense of zen. Trust me. I really want to, but I'm big already and have a binge eating disorder. Please check out the welcome post and the wiki for resources and information about MAOIs!Looks like you're using new Reddit on an old browser. By some, Nardil is considered the “gold standard” for social anxiety that includes acute self-consciousness, public speaking anxiety, severe shyness and fear in socially interactive situations.

I used to sleep on the train and I’d get amused reactions from people as I started to nod off. For a better experience, please enable JavaScript in your browser before proceeding.
Then moved on to several multipacks of club biscuits. I want to ask my doctor to try one of them , I’ve been coasting by on alcohol for the past few months and I can tell I’m starting to build a dependence because I’m feeling minor withdrawalsGo for Parnate, it has a way better side effect profile and similar effectiveness, you can always change to Nardil later if Parnate doesn't work as supposed. THE JERKS. Do not take anything on here as medical advice; talk to a doctor or professional first! Fear, avoidance, social anxiety, and social avoidance all fell significantly. Since being on Nardil, it never happens. I used to blush crimson at the drop of a hat; I couldn't control it at all. No doubt most of the side effects will disappear over time and I'll just accept them as part of phenelzine's personality until they do.The brain zaps went off for me, no idea what causes it though.as for quirky side effects, it made chocolate taste better, and anything with aspartame in made me a bit hyper (I think the latter is because of the phenylalanine)I also got pretty bad headaches that were cured by vitamin b6 (pyridoxine) supplements. How long until the brain zaps went away? I've had failed trials of perhaps ten or so drugs previously so I've pretty much told the doctor I'm not coming off it unless it either stops working, or the side effects become life threatening. How long have you had it? I've wasted about 11 years … That causes me to comment that some of the Prozac-era drugs have caused more difficulties and problems than the MAOIs ever did. I've personally found it to be, by far, the most effective medication for this disorder.
Guidelines are admirable things for general purposes and for less experienced practioners, but it is important to remember that all good guidelines are preceded by specifically stated caveats relating to the importance of individual cases and the use of clinical judgement by the treating doctor.
Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts I know from Stahls book Paxil is rather dirty (effects a bunch of different receptors).
One strong influence which compounds the misinformation/misperception problem about drugs in general, and out-of-patent drugs in particular, is the strong bias concerning promotion, advertising and teaching produced by the financial muscle of pharmaceutical companies. Handy to know.I use to get those weird jerks when I was sleeping. A few times I had a really strong jerk and my arms flew up in the air.
