I'm supposed to take 600 mg at night and 300 mg in the morning but I couldn't handle such a big dose so I actually have been taking 300 mg at night and now it seems I have to take 300 mg and a half of another one. If so, maybe you should switch to extended release as you are taking them just once a dayI take immediate release tablets, it takes about a hour to kick in. Something that might help, which a friend of mine always recommends, is doing some research on the medications you are taking, your condition, etc and print it out and take it to the doctor when you see him next. Took for five years couldnt afford of insurrance so i switched to lithiumgeneric at walmart for ten dollars amonth. Is there another drug that I can ask the dr about? I hate being dependant on meds but I know it's nessessary.
