The usual dose of Isosorbide mononitrate is 1 tablet of Isosorbide mononitrate 40 mg taken asymmetrically (to allow a nitrate low period) 2 to 3 times daily. Follow all directions on your prescription label. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Prophylaxis of angina (for patients who have not previously had a nitrate), Adjunct in congestive heart failure (for patients who have not previously had a nitrate) After single dose administration of Isosorbide Mononitrate, 20 mg, the exercise capacity was increased by 42.7% after one hour, 29.6% after 6 hours, and by 25% after eight hours when compared to placebo.
