A lot of doctors recently are under commission from pharmaceutical companies to prescribe it. I decided in the end, drug-free is the way to go. It led to Seratonin Syndrome- aka suicide syndrome- and I was mentally destroyed for over a month and a half. It made my nose run and be congested.
Some people may have a higher risk of having suicidal thoughts or actions. I've tried trazodone, as well as other drugs. So I've been on 20mg of Lexapro + 2mg of Ativan (as a sleep aid) for about 4 months.I told my psychiatrist that the Ativan has lost it's effectiveness and it is very difficult for me to fall asleep and I am lucid dreaming like crazy when I am asleep. I also had weird as fuck dreams.I advise everyone who mentions using it to get the fuck off of it. (I'm withdrawing from ambien right now ironically and haven't slept in four days so I'm sorry if this comment makes no sense. I'm on a low dose and it helps with night time anxiety/nightmares as well as insomnia. I tried giving time to adjust to it, but I never could. All those deep breaths blew all the CO2 out of my blood (EDIT: At the start of the incident my sister said "you ok?" Trazodone has also been successfully used in a small number of patients with depression and pre-existing cardiovascular disease. But as with any med, everyone reacts differently. They didn't go away for me. When I got up, I could barely keep my eyes open, stand up, walk straight. Why don't you go have a sit in the drawing room and I'll grab the tea and crumpets. My doc gave me RX for this today.. have not taken it yet.

Might be worth looking into if it's a bad experience that you want to minimize.My hungover feeling went away after 2-3 days, but then I started experiencing hand weakness and tremors so I discontinued it.I seriously love trazadone.
