I'm on a low dose and it helps with night time anxiety/nightmares as well as insomnia. I tried giving time to adjust to it, but I never could. Trazodone has also been successfully used in a small number of patients with depression and pre-existing cardiovascular disease. But as with any med, everyone reacts differently. They didn't go away for me. When I got up, I could barely keep my eyes open, stand up, walk straight. Why don't you go have a sit in the drawing room and I'll grab the tea and crumpets. My doc gave me RX for this today.. have not taken it yet.

Might be worth looking into if it's a bad experience that you want to minimize.My hungover feeling went away after 2-3 days, but then I started experiencing hand weakness and tremors so I discontinued it.I seriously love trazadone.
