I'm currently on 40mg Prozac once daily and I've been on it for 16 weeks and while it mainly controls my anxiety, I still have fairly severe social anxiety keeping me from being able to go even grocery shopping. when i decided to come off due to lack of social anxiety help i had no withdrawal effects even after stopping cold turkey for about two weeks. For about the past year and a half, I had been on Lexapro. Or was that just a problem all along?Cymbalta does say it's meant to help generalised anxiety disorder, which is why I'm on it. Now I have GA so I went back on it 3 months ago.Did the GA develop after you stopped the medication? When did you notice a change?I originally started taking cymbalta for SA.

My doctor took me off Cymbalta two weeks ago (I’m slowly tapering off, i’m at 20mg every other day (idgaf about withdrawals for the purpose of this post). Cymbalta and social anxiety. I’ve previously tried Prozac and Paxil.Do not drink the same day you take a cymbalta, if you drink...I don’t but I can imagine it would be terrible if I did.i took prozac 80mg for social anxiety and GAD but it only seemed to help with the GAD.
