I never had severe acne, but I wanted to get rid of the few pimples I had. i dont know what else to do!! My doctor told me to only use a really tiny amount of differin on my face, but I used quite a bit more and it worked incredibly well.

I am a 30/f who just came off of Accutane last month (I had mild but persistent acne for years).

My face used to be covered in zits and now I only have maybe a few or a little more at a time. So... although I have heard that Differen "is good for one's face", I have no idea why, or how to use it. I did differin every other day until the burning and peeling started to calm down. i have been trying to find people who have been using Differin for years and years because Differin is a retinoid and as such it is anti-aging, so I'm wondering if your skin good?

At first it broke me out more and made my face extremely dry. Differin is a brand name of Adapalene, traditionally used to try and combat acne, rather than rosacea. I haven't had any breakouts for about 6 months (since month 1 of Accutane).Last week, my doctor prescribed Differin 0.1% gel for my face.

i just started differin (i dont have any acne, just lots and lots of red marks from past pimples) and im wondering if this has helped anyone with their marks?

“Do NOT USE!!!

I've been using Differin for almost 3 years now and it has done jack for my red marks.

thanks memzba! :)It gets better! Available for Android and iOS devices. Are you going to keep doing the Differin forever ?Thank you so much!!! You should not stop using adapalene if your acne seems worse at first, unless irritation or other symptoms become severe. It’s a multi-benefit, dermatologist-recommended retinoid specifically used for clearing acne.
Because I don't think it would be very effective with scars so much as with red marks. i have been trying to find people who have been using Differin for years and years because Differin is a retinoid and as such it is anti-aging, so I'm wondering if your skin good? has the Differin made your skin perfect, besides the red marks? My skin looks great now.

Good luck with it O thank you so much! First few days lots of bad dryness., I use it only every 3 days otherwise my skin is too dry but I get maybe one pimple a week .

i got better results using GA peels in less than a month than using differin for 4 months. It is often used early on in acne to help to unblock pores and to treat blackheads or whiteheads and mildly inflamed spots. Sorry to tell you it didn't help with my marks.

My doctor ended up recommending Epiduo, a combination of 2.5% benzoyl peroxide and 0.1% adapalene gel. Aim To compare the efficacy, safety and tolerability of adapalene gel 0.1% vs. tretinoin gel 0.025% in a Chinese patient population.. Background Although acne vulgaris is a common problem among Asians and Asian‐Americans, little has been published on the specific manifestations, sequelae, and treatment‐responsiveness of this disorder in Asian skin types.

I would definitely recommend using it for red marks. This being said, I find having a bit of prior knowledge (usually from this sub!) it is anti-aging and retinoids are the best anti-aging products so i would stick with it. I don't have any lines or wrinkles though, but I have no idea if the Differin has helped with that. During the first 3 weeks you are using adapalene, your acne may seem to get worse before it gets better. It came to my attention when I was looking around for other topical creams that might help limit my rosacea symptoms – As far as I can tell, I have papulopustular rosacea (the type with lots of …

Adapalene treats acne deep in the pores at the source, prevents new acne from forming and, as a result of reduced acne, restores your skin’s natural texture and tone. well..not sure if it was only due to the differin but during this time, my red marks healed up the fastest.even off of glycolic peels.

could be coincidence i dunnoI am currently using Differin and it's actually helping with the red marks. It really wasn't any worse than before starting the Differin and it healed quicker!Do you mix the Differin with the Cerave or just apply directly to freshly washed skin?I wash with CeraVe, then apply the differen, then once it dries I moisturize heavilyAmazing progress! My skin looks great now. thank you!! Adapalene has similar acne-fighting and exfoliating properties to tretinoin, but it’s not quite as harsh. Caused dizziness fatigue and shortness of breath. did it help with wrinkles and such because 3 years is a long time.

My skin is purging and drying and it's frustrating knowing I won't see results for weeks but your post reminds me to be patient and the results will come.
