I've bee lowered to 25mg 3 times per week and 50mg 4 times per week, alternating nights. I take 75 mg in the morning and 75 at night.

Doctors are paid extra by the drug companies but they don't always do what is best for the patient. I was so out of it and felt like a zombie. I was prescribed this drug after struggling with migraines for as long as I can remember, but the side effects are what saved my life. I thought I was done with this side effect but now I wonder how long this will go on. Heart palpitations.
It should've never gotten on the market, and I noticed that all of my side effects were not listed in the small print when it did come on the market.I only took it three days at 25mg dose and it was horrible. Also terrible fatigue. I’ve been off of it for a month now and still don’t feel completely like my self (but much better). I don’t recommend it.It’s been almost 10 years since I’ve taken Topamax. I take a dose of 100mg and started slowly from 25 and worked up to this dosage. I still get some unusual vision disturbances and feel the fog hasn’t went away completely. It got rid of my migraines which is great so I thought the drug was working perfectly. Thank God For It. I stuck it out as long as I did only because it actually helped my migraines, but eventually the side effects were just too much. I’ve never thought about weight loss since.
